Dalcroze Eurhythmics is a unique approach to Music Education. It is based on the premise that the human body is the source of all musical ideas. This site is the home of Dalcroze Australia - you will find information here about the Dalcroze approach, about ordering books, CDs and other resources, and training happening in your area.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS

After an excellent response to last year’s Perth Dalcroze Workshops, Dalcroze Australia is pleased to welcome back special guest teacher Jerison Harper Lee (Singapore) to teach these highly practical, targeted workshops on 5 October. As each workshop will present new material, participants may enrol in just one, or both workshops.

Jerison Harper Lee holds the Master of Arts in Dalcroze Pedagogy from the Institut Jaques-Dalcroze, Geneva. Jerison’s workshops will explore creative, kinaesthetic ways of teaching and learning. In each hands-on workshop, participants will experience practical applications of the Dalcroze approach in their area of speciality: classroom music, or instrumental teaching.  Activities will be differentiated for easy adaptation into a primary or secondary setting. Expect to move, sing, play, create and find efficient, engaging tools through which develop the musicianship skills of your students! These workshops are ideal as a first taste of the Dalcroze approach, or for those with prior Dalcroze experience who are looking for more games and activities for their teaching.
