Dalcroze Eurhythmics is a unique approach to Music Education. It is based on the premise that the human body is the source of all musical ideas. This site is the home of Dalcroze Australia - you will find information here about the Dalcroze approach, about ordering books, CDs and other resources, and training happening in your area.

ABOUT THE 2018 SUMMER SCHOOL
The Summer School is aimed at adult music professionals, both teachers and performers. The school offers an introduction to the approach for those new to Dalcroze, and separate streams for participants who have prior Dalcroze experience. Advanced Training is offered for participants working at or beyond the Certificate level (or on application, at the discretion of the Director of Studies). Each day includes sessions in Movement, Rhythmics, Ear and Voice, and Improvisation. Afternoon sessions will address the application of Dalcroze to a variety of specific contexts. Please come dressed in movement-appropriate clothing, be prepared to move in bare feet, and bring your instrument. A printed record of attendance will be available and light morning tea refreshments provided. Participants should provide their own lunch.

TEACHERS
In 2018 we are pleased to welcome to Australia for the second time special guest teacher Jacqueline Vann (UK, Diplôme Supérieur - Institut Jaques-Dalcroze, Geneva). Jacqueline will teach alongside local teachers Dr Joan Pope, Dr Sandra Nash, Kristin Bowtell,  Anna Dobrucka and Virginia Norris.
