From 6th - 9th September 2007 the 8th International Rhythmic Workshop will take place in the Festspielhaus Hellerau. Connecting past and present as a creative research at the place of work of Emile Jaques-Dalcroze design the authentic background of Dresden´s rhythmic workshops.

The 8th International Workshop of Rhythmics provides in lectures and workshops different viewpoints on the topic expression. Apart from the practical work with the emphases expression in motion and dance, in room and group constellations, in music and piano improvisation as well as in their fusion, the topic will also be examined theoretically by lectures discussing historical, therapeutical and artistic viewpoints. Comparable with Plastique Animé, and especially with regard to Rhythmics characteristic mode of expression to express music through motion, scientific as well as practical points of contact will become visible.

With 2007th topic AUSDRUCK - EXPRESSION - EKSPRESJA the 8th International Workshop of Rhythmics continues the tradition of the past, annual workshops of Rhythmics and draws attention to experts, interested amateurs as well as the artistic offspring. It unites Rhythmicans- students and alumni - as well as artists of neighbouring fields such as music, dance and the fine arts. The lectures accompanying the workshop open the project to teachers, educationalists and interested people of all fields as well as scientists.
