The Heather Gell Dalcroze Foundation in Australia  provides financial assistance to promising candidates wishing to undertake studies which will contribute to the spread of Dalcroze music education in this country. 


THE TRUSTEES        
CAROL-ANN BENTLEY
has been a secondary school music teacher and voice teacher for many years.
She took in-service courses in Dalcroze Eurhythmics and used aspects of the approach in her classroom teaching and voice studio work.
Carol-ann has been involved in committee work with Dalcroze in NSW for over 20 years and is currently Aministrator for Dalcroze Australia.

ROBYN HOLMES
Robyn's involvement with Dalcroze Eurhythmics began in kindergarten, being taught by Lesley Cox. She delivered the Heather Gell Memorial lecture in 1996 and has been a trustee since 2001.
Now Curator of Music at the National Library of Australia, Robyn's career as music educator, academic and administrator has been underscored by sharing Heather's belief that creativity lies at the heart of who we are as human beings.

SUSANNE JAMES
commenced her professional career in music education as a state secondary music teacher. She has been Education Manager for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and was Director of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Open Academy.
Susanne's interest in Dalcroze commenced in the late 1970s when she was fortunate to meet and attend classes with Heather Gell in Cremorne.

KENT LOGIE
retired recently after spending 26 years as a Lecturer in Music Education at Curtin University in Perth. Previously Kent was a Primary Principal and Music Specialist.
He has served the Australian Society for Music Education as Chairperson and is Convenor for the 2007 A.S.M.E Conference in Perth.

MARGARET SMITH
is Vice President of the N.S.W. branch of the Kodaly Music Education Institute of Australia. She is also a member of Dalcroze Australia and a former student of Heather Gell.
Margaret [now retired] was a lecturer in Music education at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

DR. JANE SOUTHCOTT

is a Senior Lecturer on the Faculty of Education, Monash University.
She is president of the Australian Association for Research in Music Education and her main research focus is the history of music curricula in Australia, America and Europe
She oversees the Master of Education [Music], teaches in pre-service programs and supervises several post graduate research students.
Jane also had Dalcroze Eurhythmics lessons for at least 10 years in her youth.
